Mastatest Test Cartridge HiSCC [10ct]

The Mastatest HiSCC cartridge is designed to identify pathogens in subclinical mastitis cases – cows with high somatic cell counts (SCC).  What does it detect?
The test prioritizes identification of pathogens most relevant to high SCC cases.

Priority 1:
Staphylococcus aureus – if present, result is final.

If Staph. aureus is absent, further evaluation occurs:

Priority 2:

• Streptococcus spp.
• Coagulase-Negative Staphylococcus (CNS)
• Other Gram-positive
• E. coli / other Gram-negative
• Klebsiella / Serratia
• Mixed infection (2 species)
• Contaminated (>2 species)

Common applications for the HiSCC cartridge focus around times of year when high somatic cell count cows are identified, for example: fresh cows, post herd test, pre dry off, and herd screening.
