PolyMast is an antibiotic mastitis treatment providing bactericidal activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Provides control against the major mastitis causing pathogens – Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Potent bactericidal action that does not rely on the cow's immune system to kill bacteria. PolyMast (hetacillin potassium) for Intramammary Infusion is indicated for the treatment of acute, chronic or subclinical bovine mastitis and should be used at the first signs of inflammation or at the first indication of any alteration in the milk. PolyMast Hetacillin Potassium Intramammary Infusion is an antibiotic mastitis treatment for lactating dairy cows. Each 10 ml syringe contains hetacillin potassium equivalent to 62.5 mg ampicillin. Administer one syringe per affected quarter each 24 hours, for a maximum of 3 treatments. Milk withhold for 72 hours after last treatment. Each PolyMast syringe comes with a single use alcohol pad.
