Pen-Aqueous [500 mL]
Durvet Penicillin Injectable is indicated for the treatment of pneumonia and shipping fever in cattle and sheep, erysipelas in swine, and strangles in horses. Each ml of Penicillin Injectable cattle vaccines contain 300,000 units of Penicillin G Procaine. Penicillin G Procaine livestock antibiotics have long been regarded as one of the premier antibiotics available. These cattle antibiotics diffuse rapidly throughout the entire body providing quick therapeutic blood levels. While extremely toxic to bacteria, Penicillin G Procaine livestock antibiotics are relatively non-toxic to animals, making this the drug of choice for treating infections and diseases.
Indicated for treatment of bacterial pneumonia(shipping fever) caused by Pasterurella multocida in cattle and sheep, eyrsipelas caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae in swine and strangles caused by Streptococcus equi in horses. Each ml is designedto provide 300,000 units of penicillin G as procaine in a stable suspension. Administered intramuscular. The daily dose is 1ml per 100lbs body weight. No more than 10ml should be injected at any one site. Milk taken from treated dairy animals within 48 hours after the last treatment must not be used for food. Discontinue use of the drug for the following time period before treated animals are slaughtered for food: Cattle-14 days, Sheep-9 days, Swine-7 days. Not for use in humans.
Dosage: 1ml/100lb IM. Once a day for no more than 4 days. Hold milk 48 hours hold meat 10 days for cattle, 9 days for sheep, and 7 days for swine.
