Formaldehyde 37% [55 Gal]

Azer Scientific’s 37% formaldehyde comes in multiple sizes including 32oz., 1 Gallon, 5 Gallon & 55 Gallon containers. It is intended for use in the most critical applications in microscopy and histology. 37% formaldehyde can be used with automated or manual protocols and has a long, stable shelf life. Formaldehyde is inteded for use in the most critical applications in microscopy and histology. This formulation is stabilized with methanol.

37% Formaldehyde/11% Methanol. Used in foot baths. One gallon to 30-gallons of water. Storage: Should not be stored under 50 degrees long term as it will begin to separate and form a waxy film which will settle to the bottom. The top liquid is still OK to use but will not be as potent. The waxy film on the bottom is not good formaldehyde. Short term and transportation temperatures can drop below 50 degress. The same can hold true for long term storage over 100 degrees, but not as severe.THIS IS A HAZARDOUS PRODUCT. Note: We can only ship this item in the Spee-Dee Zone area. 37% Formaldehyde is an active ingredient for the preparation of 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin. DO NOT use 37% Formaldehyde as a primary fixative! Tissue will only fix on the perimeter of the tissue and will not properly diffuse throughout the entire core of the tissue. 37% Formaldehyde is the most commonly used active ingredient in the fixation of tissue specimens. Formaldehyde is a gas that is dissolved in water and contains an optimal amount of methanol to inhibit polymerization. 37% Formaldehyde is a clear, colorless solution and does not contain any particulate material.
