Zoetis Calf-Guard [1 ds] (25 ct)

Calf-Guard vaccinates healthy pregnant cows or newborn calves to prevent scours (diarrhea) in calves associated with bovine coronavirus or bovine rotavirus. Calf-Guard contains attenuated modified live bovine coronavirus and bovine rotavirus strains proliferated on established cell lines, then freeze-dried for stability preservation. It also contains gentamicin as a preservative. For use in newborn calves and pregnant cows.Cow vaccination stimulates immunity, which is transferred to nursing calves via colostrum and milk. Aids in preventing 2 of the most prevalent forms of viral scours.

Calves: Give a 3 mL dose as soon as possible after birth into back of calf's mouth. Vaccination of calves older than 1 day may not be effective.

Cows: Give 2 doses IM, 3-6 weeks apart during late pregnancy. Cows should be revaccinated with 2 doses during each subsequent pregnancy. 21-day slaughter withdrawal.
