Dr. Courtney Hayes

Central & Southern Illinois | Food Animal Medicine & Teaching

Dr. Courtney Hayes is a 1998 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where she also completed a residency in Food Animal Medicine and Surgery and earned a Master of Veterinary Science degree. She began her career in North Dakota in cow-calf practice, later moving to New York to focus on mixed animal medicine for small dairies. She has also served as a USDA Public Health Veterinarian.

 

Now based in Illinois, Dr. Hayes cares for agricultural teaching and research animals at the University of Illinois and teaches veterinary students. As a Professional Services Veterinarian with Armor Animal Health, she supports dairies, feedlots and heifer raisers across central and southern Illinois. She enjoys working with producers to solve herd-level challenges and lives in the country with her son, dog and five cats.


Dr. Dagmara Schroeder

Michigan, Indiana & Ohio | Dairy Production & Calf Health

A 2014 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Abby Mickelson began her career as an ambulatory large animal practitioner focused on dairy, beef and equine medicine. She later expanded her expertise in advanced equine medicine while continuing to serve dairy and beef clients.

 

Dr. Mickelson joined Armor Animal Health in 2024 and provides veterinary support across northwest Wisconsin and northern Minnesota. Her interests include dairy reproduction, calf health and protocol evaluation. She lives in Hayward, Wisconsin, with her family and enjoys gardening, the outdoors and horseback riding.

Dr. Angie Garavet

Southern & Eastern Wisconsin | Dairy & Beef Herd Health

Dr. Angie Garavet earned her degree in Animal Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical training at the University of Illinois. She joined Armor Animal Health in 2015 and has been dedicated to improving herd health ever since.

 

Her professional interests include milk quality, animal welfare, calf care and preventative medicine. Dr. Garavet lives in southeast Wisconsin with her husband, Brandon, their four daughters and their 2 black labs.


Dr. John Borzillo

West-Central & Southwestern Wisconsin | Herd Health & Reproductive Management

Originally from Hermann, Missouri, Dr. John Borzillo graduated from the University of Missouri–Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. In 2014, he co-founded Central Wisconsin Ag Services, which has grown into a leading consulting firm supporting dairy operations across the U.S. and abroad.


Dr. Kirk Hahn

Northeast Wisconsin | Dairy Production & Herd Management

Raised on a dairy and beef farm in Cambria, Wisconsin, Dr. Kirk Hahn developed a deep passion for livestock early on. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Agronomy from Iowa State University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2001.

 

Dr. Hahn owns Cattlesmyth Vet Clinic and joined Armor Animal Health in 2024, serving dairy and beef clients across northeast Wisconsin. He enjoys all aspects of dairy production medicine and is currently pursuing a Master of Dairy Business Administration. He has two daughters and a great sense of humor about his “forever 35” age claim.


Dr. Luke Trapp

Western Wisconsin, Minnesota & North Dakota | Beef & Reproductive Medicine

Dr. Luke Trapp earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2023 and quickly pursued his passion for large animal practice. Growing up on a cow-calf operation in Kentucky inspired his lifelong interest in cattle genetics and management.

 

At Armor Animal Health, Dr. Trapp focuses on beef production, dairy herd health and advanced reproductive techniques, including embryology. When he’s not working, he can be found outdoors or showing cattle across the country.


Dr. Qiudi Zheng

Northeast U.S. | Dairy Production & Reproductive Medicine

Dr. Qiudi Zheng received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan in 2016 and later joined Cornell University’s Ambulatory and Production Medicine Clinic, where she became an instructor in 2020.

She is passionate about helping producers solve complex herd health challenges and improving milk quality and reproductive outcomes. Dr. Zheng is known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail and deep understanding of DairyComp and data-driven herd management.


Dr. Shari Sandoz

Nebraska, Dakotas & Western Iowa | Beef & Feedlot Medicine

A 2010 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Shari Sandoz serves farms and ranches across Nebraska, the Dakotas and western Iowa. She specializes in feedlot and cow-calf production medicine and is passionate about beef herd health and performance.


Dr. Vicki Lauer

Wisconsin, Iowa & Minnesota | Calf Health & Dairy Goat Medicine

the company since 2013. A Missouri native, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2011 before moving to Wisconsin to focus on food animal practice.

Dr. Lauer is passionate about calf care, colostrum management and dairy goat medicine. She conducts on-farm cleanliness and ventilation audits to help clients achieve long-term, cost-effective solutions. She lives in central Wisconsin with her husband and twins, where she milks her own dairy goats and tends to a menagerie of animals.


Dr. Larry Judge

Nebraska, Dakotas & Western Iowa | Beef & Feedlot Medicine

Dr. Larry Judge graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987 and later earned his PhD in Epidemiology and Agricultural Economics. His research focused on dairy production efficiency and animal health outcomes, leading to roles in both practice and government service.

Dr. Judge joined Armor Animal Health in 2012 and provides veterinary support across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. He specializes in dairy production medicine, calf health and nutrition and continues to stay active in private practice in his hometown of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.
